On June 29, 2013 I will join a group of local bicyclists to ride in the fifth annual “CVIM Cycling for Care” to raise money and awareness for Centre Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM.) CVIM provides medical and dental care, medication assistance and case management services free of charge to the thousands in Centre County without healthcare. Every day, CVIM cares for people with any number of treatable illnesses and conditions such as: high blood pressure, diabetes, extreme dental decay, anxiety and depression, to name a few.

CVIM is a community effort to help our friends and neighbors in need. Funded primarily from the community, CVIM has seen a recent increase in the number of individuals and families seeking care. Currently, there are over 1800 on the waiting list for dental care, and over 200 for medical care.

Now more than ever, CVIM needs our support. Will you join me in the challenge of raising $50,000 for our neighbors without health insurance by sponsoring me with a donation?


CVIM is a free clinic providing medical and dental care, medication assistance and case management services to the thousands in Centre County without healthcare coverage.   Every day, CVIM cares for people with any number of treatable illnesses and conditions, such as:  high blood pressure, diabetes, extreme dental decay, mental health issues, to name a few.

Please join me in the fundraising effort for this organization where I was a founding staff member and worked for 7 years.  I believe wholeheartedly in this clinic's mission to provide medical and dental care to hardworking but uninsured Centre County citizens.  CVIM is one of many free clinics across the USA who provide life saving primary medical care to men, women and children who fall through the cracks.  Please consider supporting this great cause!
