Bob Ford is raising money for 2013 Cycling for Care

On June 29, 2013 I will join a group of local bicyclists to ride in the fifth annual “CVIM Cycling for Care” to raise money and awareness for Centre Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM.) CVIM provides medical and dental care, medication assistance and case management services free of charge to the thousands in Centre County without healthcare. Every day, CVIM cares for people with any number of treatable illnesses and conditions such as: high blood pressure, diabetes, extreme dental decay, anxiety and depression, to name a few.

CVIM is a community effort to help our friends and neighbors in need. Funded primarily from the community, CVIM has seen a recent increase in the number of individuals and families seeking care. Currently, there are over 1800 on the waiting list for dental care, and over 200 for medical care.

Now more than ever, CVIM needs our support. Will you join me in the challenge of raising $50,000 for our neighbors without health insurance by sponsoring me with a donation?

Bob Ford's Story
I've been involved in helping CVIM's Cycling for Care benefit bike ride since it's beginning five years ago.  During that time, as I've gotten to know the CVIM staff and volunteer team, I continue to be impressed and humbled by their deep commitment to provide free medical and dental care to those in our area who really need those services.  I hope you can partner with us financially to help this wonderful cause!
