Jaimie Wright's Story
This year, I am delighted to be able to support Centre Volunteers in Medicine while living in Cape Town, South Africa, by running the Jive Slave Route Challenge Half-Marathon. The race gives entrants the unique opportunity to honor the 8,000 men, women and children whose names are inscribed in the Izeko Slave Lodge Column of Memory.
I am also grateful to physically be able to train for a half-marathon this spring. It has been a longer than expected journey to running and racing again after delivering my third boy, Vincent, an absolutely wonderful baby. I am hopeful to feel well enough after this race to attempt a marathon later this summer to qualify for Boston next spring. I would love to be back on the starting line in Hopkinton next April!
In any case, I am so glad to be able to support Centre Volunteers in Medicine in their mission to provide members of our community with high-quality medical and dental care. Everyone should be able to receive high-quality health care when and where they need it.
Please join me in supporting CVIM. Any amount you give will go directly towards providing medical and dental care to low-income, working adults and is greatly appreciated.
Know that I will be thinking of you and your generosity while I run.
Thank you,
Jaimie
