Jaimie Wright's Story
This year, I will once again be racing to support Centre Volunteers in Medicine and the fantastic work they do to provide medical and dental care to people who live and work in Centre County and their families.
The race I was intending to run, the Roger Snyder Half Marathon in Richfield, PA, was postponed due to the coronavirus. I guarantee that I will run 13.1 miles for CVIM during 2020, even if it is through the streets of State College.
CVIM's work has never been more important, and many people in our community will go to CVIM for care instead of avoiding medical attention until they are too sick and ending up in the emergency room. Many other people who are unable to work due to the coronavirus may need CVIM for health care, so your support for CVIM is crucial.
Running has given me great joy and strong friendships and community over the years, and I am excited to be able to use my love of running and the good health I currently enjoy to ensure that more people in Centre County can experience good health and well-being.
As I race, I will be thinking of your support, generosity and friendship. Thank you!
