Tara's Story
Every year, running a race to raise money for CVIM motivates me to train hard through the winter months. This year is no exception - even though winter barely made an appearance here in Pennsylvania this year!
I am registered to run the Plattsburgh Half Marathon on May 3. Given the evolving Coronavirus situation, I don't know when (or if) I will be able to run this race, but I promise I will run 13.1 miles for CVIM. I am more motivated than ever to support CVIM and its mission to provide care and services to those without healthcare coverage. The people who rely on CVIM for medical care are also affected by Coronavirus restrictions (for example, workers who are missing pay because their employer has closed or because they are in quarantine). We need CVIM more than ever this year!
Thank you for your support. It always helps me in the final miles of a race to think of everyone who donated to CVIM as part of Marathoners for Medicine - as I run "socially distantly" by myself that support will be especially important.
