This year, I will join a group of local runners participating in various running events as a means of raising money and awareness for Centre Volunteers in Medicine.  This Run for CVIM Challenge, known in previous years as Marathoners for Medicine, has grown from a single person running the Boston Marathon and collecting money in support of his run, to a group of about 30 runners who run several different distances in support of CVIM.

Please help me raise funds and awareness for CVIM.


CVIM is a free clinic providing medical and dental care, medication assistance, case management services, and behavioral health services to the thousands living or working in Centre County without healthcare coverage.  Over 95% of CVIM's annual budget comes from the community - Every gift is critical!


 

Hi Friends!

This is a short-fuse, high-spirits fundraising gallop for Centre Volunteers in Medicine. On June 18, I'll be running a hilly half marathon in the forest to help my uninsured and underinsured neighbors to access vital medical care and dental care for their families.

I ask you to "run with me" by making a donation to support the work of the many dedicated doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists and technicians who volunteer their time to make it happen every day for people like you and me.

Your donation will help put a much-appreciated spring in my step (and a smile on my face) as I climb each hill of the challenging Eager Seeger Half Marathon in Pennsylvania's Rothrock State Forest.

Thanks for all you do, for this effort and for others, wherever you are. You are the gift!

I'll do a brief post-race report once I cross the finish line and catch my breath.
