I first ran Boston with the CVIM Marathoners for Medicine in 2006. With incredible community support, CVIM has come a long way since then (its own building!) and continues to provide our neighbors in need with quality health care.
After a 10-year hiatus, I'm happy to be returning to Boston – this time in a Medicare-eligible age group. Since it has meant so much to me, I'm dedicating this year's run to medical care for detection and treatment of prostate cancer. And as my training this year has been hampered by injury, I am thankful for the good care that I hope will get me to the finish line on Patriots' Day (April 15).
Thanks to: John Domico for getting this CVIM fundraiser started back in 2003; to Jaimie Wright and Tara Grove for keeping it going; to the great Nittany Valley running community; and to the volunteer doctors, staff, and donors who make CVIM happen.
