The Centre Volunteers in Medicine 2017 Dental Campaign
The dental clinic at CVIM provides emergency procedures, restoration, basic hygine and referrals to specialists. We know that when something in your mouth hurts it effects what you eat and how you feel going off to work or school. But, when your mouth is healthy and feels good, you feel good. Your self-esteem is high!
Centre County is classified as a Health Professional Shortage Area for dentistry, meaning that quality care is difficult to come by even for those with dental insurance. The 2016 Centre County census report indicates that there are over 13,000 individuals without health insurance and over triple that number with no dental coverage.
Before his untimely passing in 2010, Dr. Richard Madore was the driving force behind establishing the dental clinic at CVIM. Dr. Madore’s spirit and dedication have lived on through our annual campaign to secure funding for this invaluable resource.
Thank you for your help to make a difference in the lives of CVIM dental patients. Your donation to CVIM is tax deductible.
